Aprendendo Inglês como Língua Estrangeira (L2) em Estudantes de Graduação: Estudo Etnográfico em uma Universidade Chinesa

Em um mundo globalizado, o inglês é considerado a língua franca para as relações e comunicações internacionais. Na China, aprender inglês é fundamental para os objetivos comerciais deste gigante país asiático. Este trabalho se baseia nas notas etnográficas de seu autor, registradas durante sua estada acadêmica na Universidade Zhejiang Gongshang (ZGU), em sua função de professor de Inglês como Língua Estrangeira (L2). Este estudo contribui para a compreensão da complexidade do ensino de inglês em um país estrangeiro, especialmente quando professores e alunos vêm de culturas diferentes. Os resultados revelam a necessidade de que a nova geração de professores de inglês inclua, em sua prática docente, as competências instrumentais, interpessoais e sistêmicas, de forma abrangente.
