Integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) has rapidly captured attention and concern in various sectors of society. This article aims to thoroughly analyze the integration of GAI in higher education, exploring its benefits, challenges, and associated ethical implications from the perspective of university professors (n=23). The underlying technology, ChatGPT, is examined, addressing skills and competencies in GAI, ethical concerns, and the use of ChatGPT. Data is collected through a self-administered online questionnaire, employing a Likert scale with 15 specific questions and 5 general questions. The conclusion highlights that the integration of GAI offers benefits but also poses ethical dilemmas and pedagogical challenges.
