Call for Papers Revista Transformar – June 2026 Edition
Revista Transformar invites researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to submit original manuscripts for its June 2026 edition, devoted to the theme: “Active Learning Approaches in Higher Education”
In a context marked by rapid social, technological, and educational change, higher education institutions are increasingly challenged to move beyond traditional models and adopt more student-centered approaches. Active learning has emerged as a key pedagogical orientation to foster meaningful engagement, critical thinking, collaboration, autonomy, and the development of transferable competencies in diverse university settings.
Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- Active learning in higher education.
- Problem-based learning, project-based learning, and case-based learning.
- Flipped classroom models in higher education.
- Collaborative and cooperative learning strategies.
- Inquiry-based and experiential learning.
- Active learning and competency-based education.
- Student engagement and participation in higher education.
- Assessment strategies aligned with active learning.
- Digital technologies and active learning environments.
- Active learning in online, hybrid, and blended settings.
- Faculty development for active learning implementation.
- Barriers and opportunities for transforming learning and teaching practices in higher education.
- Active learning and inclusion, equity, and diversity in higher education.
- International perspectives and comparative studies on active learning.
Languages: Manuscripts may be submitted in Spanish, English, or Portuguese.
Types of contributions
We welcome:
- Original research articles.
- Theoretical or conceptual papers.
- Systematic literature reviews.
- Case studies.
- Reflective essays with strong academic grounding.
- Submission guidelines.
Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review in another journal. All submissions must follow the journal’s author guidelines and formatting requirements.
Authors are especially encouraged to submit manuscripts with an international perspective, showing the broader relevance of their study beyond a single local context.
